With so much to do in San Diego we are always excited to plan a weekend getaway in Carlsbad. Carlsbad is an amazing Coastal city in Southern California with so much to do and many amazing resorts for your next family travel. We recently stayed at The Cassara Carlsbad a Tapestry Collection by Hilton and had the perfect weekend getaway. Why was it the perfect resort for our family getaway? The Cassara Carlsbad Amenities
We were excited to visit some local destinations but also wanted some time to relax and enjoy the amenities this resort has to offer. We were pleasantly surprised with how much there was to do! So much so that we ended spending more time at the resort than we initially had anticipated. We were so happy with how kid friendly this resort is! Down below I've listed everything there is to do.

Rooms
This luxury hotel near the beach is airy, with beautiful decor and spacious rooms fit for travel parties of all sizes. Plus it's close to many local favorite attractions, restaurants and theme parks. More on that down below.
We stayed in the family Karlsbad Suite with a Patio. It's incredibly spacious with a private bedroom for the kiddos and tons of great amenities like a mini fridge and a keurig for that morning cup of coffee with a view. The property is absolutely gorgeous, clean and very well taken care of. Service just as amazing.
Location
The location is perfect whether you're looking to relax or head to some of the best destinations in the area. It's right next to Legoland, some of the best beaches in Carlsbad, rooms overlook The Flower Fields (early March-May), Carlsbad Strawberry Pumpking Patch, Carlsbad Premium Outlet, Carlsbad Lagoon for water activities and so much more. It's also a 30 min drive to SeaWorld and Belmont Park. I told you it was near to tons of amazing family friendly destinations! Stay in, go out or do a little bit of both like we did. It was the perfect locations and mix of activities and relaxation for the whole family.

Conclusion
The Cassara Carlsbad really was the perfect family friendly hotel. We were so impressed with it's service, amenities, spacious rooms and kid friendly facilities. Now don't get me wrong, if you're traveling without kiddos you will still love this resort just as much as we did. It's got all the amenities any traveler coming from near or far will love.
