Every year before school starts we head out on a camping adventure and this year would be no different. We were invited by Huttopia Paradise Springs to come experience their very first Huttopia in the West Coast and we are thrilled they did. This is their 4th year operating in Paradise Springs. This is a beautiful outdoor glamping resort in the heart of the San Gabriel Mountains in The Angeles National Forest. With 150 acres to explore, there's something fun and exciting at every corner. Aside from being surrounded by unspoiled beauty, crisp mountain air and dappled sunlight, Huttopia has everything you expect from nature, while offering comfort and luxury. If you are looking for the perfect Glamping location in Southern California this is definitely it. I’m excited to share with you all about our experience during our stay at Huttopia Paradise Springs.
Disclosure: This was a hosted stay, however all opinions and reviews are completely my own.
Lodging
They have 12 ready to camp wooden canvas tents in their Coulter Pine area that are absolutely perfect. UPDATE 2022 They added tons of wooden canvas tents in a new area of the property called Red Rock. The tents overlook the rocky red mountains for an adventurous feel and greater connection to nature. Now you have even more options to choose from. This is a new area in the property but still offering their comfortable and functional accommodations we initially fell in love with. All their tents include everything you can possibly need and are so roomy. Our tent had 2 bedrooms with the possibility to sleep 5! One with a queen bed and another with full and twin bunkbeds. Our tent had a private shower/restroom, bear safe cooler with cooling packs, dishware, cooking pans, lantern, chairs, full bbq grill, dining table with chairs and extra blankets. Not to mention electricity and a ceiling fan! It's so convenient to have everything you need while camping, without having to pack your whole house. The tent was clean and the beds were very comfy. We got amazing rest falling asleep to the sound of the nature.

f you decide to book a tent without a shower they have a bathhouse that is kept spotless.

Activities
Huttopia Paradise Springs is set in a beautiful location perfect to enjoy nature and star gaze. However, they have tons of other activities for the whole family to enjoy. Their activity board is updated regularly so keep a close eye on it.

Pool- Let's start with the pool! Their larger than life spring water pool goes 3-12 feet deep and is perfect to cool off after a day of enjoying the outdoors. The picturesque backdrop is amazing, almost feels surreal. We grabbed some chairs under the bamboo covers and had an amazing time swimming and lounging in their pool floaties.

Community games- There's no need to pack any games because Huttopia has us covered. They had games like, Jenga, Cornhole, Ping Pong, soccer ball, and hula hoops and more! Available for all to enjoy anytime of the day. We had so much fun playing as a family and really enjoyed our time together.
S'mores Night- Every evening there is something fun planned by the Huttopia staff. For safety reasons and the fact that we were in the middle of The Angeles Forest we were unable to start our own fire, however, that did not stop us from having s'mores. The staff started a fire in their communal campfire and provided everything we needed for s'mores night. Yes, no need to bring your own, they got us covered. We enjoyed some s'mores while getting to know the staff and some of the other families camping. it was the perfect way to end our night at the camp site.
Movie Night- they set up an outdoor movie watching experience under the stars. We got to watch Frozen, so you know our Disney loving hearts were very happy.

Orchard- There is a small orchard where at the moment they are growing delicious apples and pears. We were allowed to freely pick and enjoy them right off the tree. Right next to the orchard is a pond that glistened beautifully as the sun was coming down. Our second time around we even came across a bush with berries and we were able to pick and enjoy. We made sure to ask if they were edible first and to our surprise they were!

Hiking- There are several trails in the surrounding area and guess what? As one of their new weekly activities, Huttopia now offers for no additional charge a private hiking guide. We took a hike with Mike around the property and it was perfect. Hike is tailored to the group so it can be as short or as long as the group would like. It was a 1 mile hike that took us into the forest where we took in some of the areas beautiful views and learned all about the trees and plants around the area.
Goat Yoga! This was another fun morning activity included with our stay. We got to visit with the goat, take pictures and even try some yoga poses with goats on our backs. This was our first experience tying this and it was such a fun and unique experience.
Crafts- Staff member holds a fun and nature inspired craft for the kiddos on property. The crafts were so cute and fun so much so that even the adults joined in!
The activity board is updated regularly so keep on eye on it regularly.
Hammocks- Is there anything better than laying on a hammock while looking at a beautiful view or listening to the sounds of nature? Hammocks are always such a relaxing treat.

Services
Cafe/bistro- We enjoyed lots of goodies from their cafe/bistro because lets be honest, I don't often cook at home so I did not want to cook while camping. They have a newly installed gorgeous deck with tons of seating and umbrellas. Their menu has expanded from our first visit to include oven pizzas, sandwiches, smoothies, and of course their delicious crepes and croissant breakfast along with many other treats.

Camp store- If you plan to grill over at your tent theres always the risk of forgetting a condiment or two but luckily Huttopia has a camp store for those last minute items we something forget.
Hospitality- It goes without saying that service can make and break any trip. I'm happy to report the service was amazing. Huttopia staff were very friendly and welcoming. For the second year in a row they made us feel right at home and we can't wait to visit again.
Huttopia Paradise Springs also has a playground by the community area. When I say they really tailor to families I mean it!

There is free WIFI within the community area but does not reach most tents. I did not mind disconnecting for most of the day. After all, it's the perfect excuse to disconnect and enjoy nature.

In conclusion, It’s safe to say we had an amazing stay and can’t recommend Huttopia Paradise Springs enough. We absolutely plan to visit again and look forward to another fun summer getaway in 2023. Campsite History
The camp goes back to the 1920's when some of the biggest names in Hollywood attended the original camp set right in this same space. Their pool is a historic pool! It's been extensively renovated and remains a delightful place for young and old alike. They even have a Charlie Chaplin cabin that holds the original stairs he once built. They even have a trout pond they are growing and hoping to open it up for fishing in the near future.
