Last week we had some family outdoor fun at Rainbow Lagoon Swan Boats by Wheel Fun Rentals in Long Beach and I'd like to share a couple details for next time you are in the area. We arrived at 11am and got to ride on this fun pedal activated swan boat that was easy to maneuver even for an 8 year old! We spent an hour drifting smoothly and safely through the lagoon admiring the beautiful buildings and grassy area.
Tips: On a sunny day it can get very warm so bring glasses, a hat, water and comfortable clothes and shoes.
You can make your ride as active or as relaxing as you'd like! You can choose to pedal the whole time or just pedal out and let the boat drift in the lagoon while you relax and enjoy the view. You can even bring some snack to enjoy while on the boat like we did! The large boats have a little bench and sun shade in the back for anyone who just want to relax while the drivers pedal through the lagoon.
This is fun you can enjoy during the day or night. From a family day to a date night. They have small and large boats. The small boats fits 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 10 and the large boat sits up to 5 people. We rode on the large boat! Rather come at night? Safety
For safety, all boaters receive boating instructions and must wear Coast Guard approved life vests prior to going out. Most importantly all boats and vest are sanitized after each use and all employees are required to wear masks.
Parking
Update: Personally we parked at the Shoreline Village Parking lot right in front of The Yard House. Just know there is a fee and Swan Boats Rentals will not validate parking. However, you can always eat at one of the local restaurants before or after to get it validated! On their website they also recommend parking at The Pike Outlets parking garage, 65 Cedar Ave.
I highly recommend this for a fun day out! There is so much to do around this area you can follow your fun swan boat ride with lunch or dinner like we did. Ready to come out and enjoy?
