My daughter is a huge animal lover and with the news of The Aquarium Of The Pacific being fully open, we couldn't think of a better way to spend our day. We had so much fun exploring and learning all about the sea animals . However, there are opportunities to learn about so much more here. Nothings makes me more happy than having a day full of learning made fun. I want to share with you all the reasons why we highly recommend you pay Aquarium Of The Pacific a visit as well as everything you need to know before you visit.
After not being able to visit for over a year we were ecstatic to finally be visiting our favorite aquarium. Kids of all ages will enjoy all the wonderful sights. It's hard not to be mesmerized by all the beautiful fish with their vibrant colors and unique looks. All Disney lovers like ourselves will quickly be attracted to the tanks full of Dory and Nemo! Not to mention all the other animal exhibits like the Penguins, Sea Otters, Ray touch pools and frogs. Let me show you some of our favorite pictures!
Visiting with my daughter who is now 9 years old was a whole other experience than visiting when she was younger. She was able to appreciate so much more than the beautiful animals. At the Pacific Visions Wing, she was able to learn about water conversation, sustainable food, and ways to protect the ocean. They make it so interactive and fun she herself decided to walk in and start learning. She "played" along with their digital, interactive touch screen table to learn about sustainable food and water conservation. She had lots of questions and we took the opportunity to learn together. Downstairs of the the same wing, she enjoyed getting creative and coloring fish on a digital tablet which then showed her creation on a big screen. She was able to work on her creativity, learn about different ways to help our earth, and practice her readings all from just one wing at the aquarium. Of course she learned about animals, for example WE both learned that they are trying to get people use to calling "Jelly Fish", Sea Jellies and "Star Fish", Sea Stars since neither are fish.
This is what I love about the aquarium. As our kiddos grow, they learn something new, allowing every visit to be fun and unique. The best part, my daughter had the best day. She verbalized how much fun she had playing and seeing all the animals. Not once did it feel like work. Although when dad got home she had so much to share and was very evident she had learned a lot.
